PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The “Galleria Passerella” building complex is a stone’s throw from Milan Cathedral. Intended for offices and shops in Galleria Passarella 1-2 (corner of Piazza San Babila, Corso Europa and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II), it was built from 1954 to 1957 on a project by Luigi Mattioni.
NBI was the General Contractor of the contract for the redevelopment of part of the property (from the 2nd to the 7th floor): conservative restoration of the external and internal facades and internal works for a total of almost 11,000 square meters of gross built surface.
The executive project envisaged the removal of all the internal works with the stripping of the perimeter walls for the structures to be verified, the removal of all the systems, the adoption of new raised floors and inspectable false ceilings, the remaking of all the toilets and of all water, sanitation and fire prevention systems, mechanical and air conditioning, electrical, elevators, fire detection systems, sound diffusion, lighting management systems and automated management of all building systems, etc., all with equipment and finishes of high international standard.
