NBI scores another great contract with the Venice MOSE Project. In the presence of Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, Minister of Health Beatrice Lorenzin, Governor of Tuscany Enrico Rossi, and the city Chief of Health Services, Stefania Saccardi, the new Trauma Centre at the Careggi Hospital, Florence, was inaugurated on 6 April 2017. At the end of January NBI signed the contract with Golinelli Foundation for the realization "turnkey" of the new " Golinelli’s Arts and Science Center ". The new pavilion, designed by architect Mario Cucinella, will be located in  Opificio Golinelli area and will have the purpose of hosting exhibits, interactive exhibitions and public events focused on  science and art. With an usable area of 600 square meters it will integrate the activities of the adjacent “Opificio Golinelli”, headquarters of the homonymous Foundation.

Recognising the importance of a company's trustworthiness, of providing workers and stakeholders with guarantees regarding quality and safety, and of a company's ethical attitude in any phase of its operations, NBI embarked last year on a major reorganisation process that culminated, among other things, with its achieving SQ8000 Social and Ethical Accountability Certification. NBI S.p.A. signed a framework agreement with the Ispra Joint Research Centre for the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of all systems. In addition, the company is to build and commission the hot-water, heating and drain systems. The Ispra Joint Research Centre is one of 7 research institutes – located in Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain – that are fully financed by the European Union in order to ensure the independence of their research work. Concerning the construction works of “Asse Viario Marche Umbria e Quadrilatero di penetrazione interna” – Marche Umbria Route Network and four-sided route network (a path which allows better connection between some internal areas of the centre of Italy), NBI is going to follow the design, construction and commissioning of the systems related to the SS76 for Fossati Vico - Cancelli and Albacina - Serra San Quirico routes. The Apuan Hospital in Massa – where NBI designed, built, commissioned and tested the electrical, specialised, mechanical and technological systems in the new buildings and annexes – was inaugurated on 15 January. The new hospital complex, with four floors above ground and one below, has a total floor area of ​​105,750 square metres, of which 25,500 sq m are assigned for car parking. NBI is going to carry out a new building for management and community services enlarging HERA Bologna's HQs. Construction site has been opened according to schedule, after completed the planning phase. In addition to the final design, NBI will provide civil works and all the plants: from design to testing and commissioning.

Line 5 of the Milan Metro extended.
